2018’s Best of Purium

As the final days of December count down, we’re finishing the year faster than a bottle of Super Aminos.

Thanks to our new CBD+ products and 2 new books from both of our co-founders, 2018 has been a blast. And, we don’t want to name drop, but we can’t lie… those shoutouts from Halle Berry and Kris Jenner weren’t too bad either.

Before we say ‘hello’ to 2019, let’s reminisce about the highlights.

New Packs

In the beginning of the year, we did something BIG and expanded our 10-Day Transformation packs‘ line and introduced new 40-Day packs that help encourage people to make their daily nutrition a habit.

One top of that, we continued our trend of pioneering specialized superfoods packs. Since we have TONS of products with TONS of functions, it can be a little confusing. We all can’t be walking encyclopedias (you can keep our blog in your favorites tab though)! So, we grouped our products together in function-specific packs.

Here’s a few of our favorites from this year:

• Candida Reduction Pack (candida-fighting superfoods)
• Gut Health Pack (everything is linked to our gut; let’s keep it healthy on the regular)
• Juice Bar in a Bag (a raw rainbow collection of over 50 organic vegetables, fruits and herbs)

CBD+

Perhaps of our most thrilling developments this year was bringing CBD+ into our product family. As holistic health-supporters, we actually had been keeping tabs on full-spectrum hemp oil for a while. We searched for a way to bring this product to our arsenal in a way that followed our stringent pure + premium standards.

When we finally did, we received way more feedback and love than we anticipated. Thanks to all your love and support, we have two versions available, peppermint flavor and unflavored. They’re adored by humans and pets alike!

Looking to Greener Pastures

Earlier in the year, we also took steps forward in becoming a greener company. And no, we don’t mean painting our walls green (which we actually did as a team-building exercise). Instead, we took a step to reduce our carbon foot-print — we stopped including plastic scoops in our packaging. In a similar vein, we unveiled more biodegradable packaging (called Terra Pouches) for some of our best sellers.

Biome Medic – Detox Certification

You might think we were in our one little world in 2018, but lucky for us, important people are taking notice. No, we’re not talking about (but those were nice). We’re talking about our third party certification from The Detox Project.

The Detox Project is an organization that focuses on providing validity for the detox and holistic commuity with third party testing. In April, The Detox Project recognized Biome Medic with the first-of-its-kind Gold Standard Glyphsoate Detox Certification. TLDR: Biome Medic is clinically proven to reduce glyphosate and is free of that toxin’s residue. Yeah… no big deal (but totally big deal).

New Books

As if ALL this wasn’t enough pure + premium goodness, both of our co-founders wrote and released books.

Our President, Amy Venner-Hamdi brought her practical advice and uplifting inspiration to the page, in her author debut Women on the Rise. The wife and mother of two daughters shares her story of growth as well as the realities of women and leadership, from the political arena to the boardroom. Encouraging other female readers to reach out for leadership positions both in business and socially in her, this book gives a feeling of hope and joy for the future.

In his second book The Toxin That Came to Dinner, activist and Purium Visionary Dave Sandoval details the seriousness as well as the prevalence of the complications caused by widespread glyphosate toxicity. Raising awareness and education are vital, we are also going to focus on solutions. Coincidentally (or not), this solution-driven book was released on the same day that Monsanto was delivered their $289 million verdict. Dave’s book explains why we desperately need solutions to detoxify our bodies and rebuild our health that may have been damaged through our exposure to this harmful chemical.

2019 Future Lookout

So with such a good year for us, what can YOU expect in 2019? Well, we have to keep that on the hush-hush right now. We know… but somethings need to stay in the vault until they’re good and ready. We can say that we’re super excited to expand our reach, give more back to the community and continue developing pure and premium superfoods products. We hope you’ll continue the journey with us.
