Whether you’re running the beach boardwalk or just chilling poolside, we all get a little thirsty for something refreshing during summer. And sometimes we like to have a little fun when we’re hydrating up.

Root beer floats, sugary smoothies and salty margaritas are some favorite go-to’s, but are they really benefiting you?

Those empty calories and extra sugar from fake ingredients won’t give you extra boosts of energy, immunity or alkalinity.

If you’re looking for a cool treat that will give you long lasting-benefits look no further!

Tropical Dreamsicle

Take a dip into this flavor-packed, nutritious superfoods smoothie!

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 cup organic orange juice (we prefer frozen with pulp, but you don’t have to)
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple and/or coconut meat
  • ice (if you didn’t use frozen OJ)

Instructions:

  1. Just blend until all ingredients are mixed and creamy.
  2. Sit back and enjoy.

Very Berry Cherry

If you’re looking for a of a splash of berry taste, try this recipe from Fit Living Eats.

Substitute some of your Purium favorites where possible.

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup frozen mixed berries
  • Handful of spinach or substitute your favorite Purium green drink, like Green Spectrum
  • 3 tablespoons of hemp seeds
  • 1 1/2 cup almond milk

 

Instructions:

  1. Just blend until smooth and creamy.
  2. Enjoy!

Lemon Aloe Vera

Looking for a refreshing glass to kick back with while sitting on your porch? Substitute Purium products in this aloe vera smoothie recipe.

What You’ll Need:

  • 4 organic strawberries (we like to use frozen)
  • 1 1/2 inch by 1 1/2 inch aloe vera (gel part only) or substitute with Aloe Digest or 40x Aloe Vera (dilute with water)
  • Half a glass of water
  • Optional juice for taste (we recommend throwing in another fruit instead of just pure juice)
  • Ice (if you didn’t use frozen strawberries)

Instructions:  

  1. Pour the water and preferred juice or fruit into a blender.
  2. Insert the next ingredients.
  3. Blend
  4. Enjoy
