Purium’s Superfoods PB & J
Peanut butter and jelly is a family staple. Yet nut allergies are no joke. Even without the allergies, peanuts aren’t the healthiest “nut” (it’s actually a legume). On top of that store-bought jars of peanut butter and jelly can be loaded with preservatives, sugar and not much kid-friendly stuff. Luckily, you can make your own superfoods version with Purium!
First, you’ll need to make Coconut Barley Butter (Faux Peanut Butter).
What You’ll Need:
6 tbsp. Purium Activated Barley
6 tbsp. Purium Rice Bran Solubles
4 tbsp. Purium Organic Tropic Oil (You may want to warm until it is soft or liquid).
2 tbsp. honey (raw, locally sourced) or pure maple syrup
Himalayan salt (to taste)
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients together until smooth.
- Let the mix sit for 5 minutes.
This mix can also be served with crackers (whole-grain, rice or lentil), celery or apple slices.
You got the Faux Peanut Butter down and now it’s time for the Cherry Jam! Whip up your very own Tart Cherry Preserves!

1/2 cup Apothe-Cherry
20 fresh cherries
Pectin (to desired thickness)

- Add pectin in slowly to thicken up jam.
