On-the-Go Purium-Powered Summer Snacks

Summer is HERE! Although our busy schedules tend to turn to dog days in these hotter months, much of our community leans into an active lifestyle year-round. To deter you from grabbing salty potato chips or processed foods  at your road trip rest stop, these Purium-Powered snacks will satisfy your tastebuds and tummy wherever your summer adventures bring you. Send your kid off to camp with something healthy, or pack up these tiny treats in your beach cooler. 

To support your on-the-go lifestyle, these simple munchie recipes are quick and easy!. Snack-prep these recipes at the start of the week to free yourself of any worries you may go hungry while enjoying the sunshine and outdoors. Each is complete with our Purium superfoods to give your body the nourishment it needs to thrive all season long. 

Purium Energy Bites

Simple to make and easy to pack along with you on your summer outdoor activities, these energy bites are complete with Super Meal L.O.V Vanilla Chai- yum! They make the perfect fuel for summer hikes, long bike rides, and camping trips. 

Ingredients: 

  • 3 cups cooked whole or steel cut oats 
  • 8 scoops Super Meal L.O.V Vanilla Chai 
  • 1 cup ground organic flaxseed meal
  • ½ cup chocolate chips – or opt for dried fruit bits 
  • 1 cup nut butter of your choice
  • ½ cup raw honey 
  • ½ cup Tropic Oil 

Instructions: 

  • Mix all ingredients together, and roll into bite sized balls 
  • Place them in the refrigerator to set – Enjoy!

MVP Vanilla Oat Bars

These crunchy bars are as tasty and filling as a granola bar, without any added sugar or preservatives! With a creamy vanilla flavor and a blend of nuts, they’re a great on-the-go breakfast or quick afternoon snack to keep you full and energized. 

Ingredients: 

  • 1 cup Organic steel cut oats
  • 1 cup Organic shaved coconut flakes
  • ½ cup Chia seeds
  • ¼ cup Flax seeds
  • ¼ cup Sesame seeds
  • 1½ cups chopped nuts such as almonds, pecans, pistachios, hazelnuts or sunflower
  • ¼ cup Organic dried cranberries
  • ¼ cup Organic dried apricots chopped into bits
  • ¼ cup Organic dried mango
  • 2 scoops MVP Sport- Vanilla
  • ½ cup Organic nut milk
  • 1 cup Organic agave syrup
  • 3 tbsp Purium Tropic Oil

Instructions: 

  • Preheat the oven to 300°.
  • Spread the oats and all seeds on a sheet pan. Bake for 10 minutes. Remove and add in coconut flakes and bake for another 5 minutes. You want the coconut to be golden brown. Do not let it burn.
  • Mix the MVP Sport- Vanilla with the nut milk of your choice. It will have a paste consistency. Heat a saucepan on medium-low heat. Add the Tropic Oil to the pan with the Agave syrup and vanilla extract. Add in the MVP Vanilla paste. Warm until all ingredients are smoothed together.
  • In a medium sized bowl mix all ingredients together. Spread evenly on a sheet pan. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Let cool for at least 1 1/2 hours before you cut into bars.

Kettle corn rules summer fairgrounds and carnivals, but it’s not the most nutritious choice to chew on when prioritizing a healthy lifestyle. Our Coco-lina Popcorn is a fantastic alternative to buttery or caramel popcorn, and it’s sprinkled with mother nature’s multivitamin- Spirulina. Ingredients: 

Instructions: 

  • Melt Tropic Oil in pan
  • Add kernels, cover, and let pop
  • Sprinkle Spirulina until popcorn is light green

Ingredients: 

  • ½ cup organic quinoa 
  • ½ cup steel cut oats 
  • ½ cup slivered almonds 
  • ½ cup sunflower seeds
  • ½ cup unsweetened coconut flakes 
  • ¼ cup chia seeds 
  • ¼ cup flax seeds 
  • 1 tbsp MVP Kids- Chocolate Multisource 
  • 1 tsp cinnamon 
  • ⅓ cup organic agave nectar 
  • ¼ cup Tropic Oil 
  • 2 tbsp vanilla extract 

Instructions: 

  • Add all ingredients into a mixing bowl or food processor and combine until full incorporated 
  • Store in an airtight container to bring on the go!
