Inspired by the wise words of co-founder David Sandoval, here are 5 steps to help you successfully accomplish your New Year’s health resolutions.
- Be realistic.
Making goals can be exciting, especially because everything is prospective and out your hands: there is nothing we have to do at the very moment except think out the goal. But when the time comes to execute that goal, things can come crashing down if you’ve set your sights too high. It may seem tempting to make huge goals, but stay realistic. That doesn’t mean they don’t have to be challenging! Just be sure that these are goals that you can personally tackle. That might mean substituting a Power Shake for your usual breakfast three times a week, instead of every day (unless you’re on a Transformation!).
Don’t set yourself up for failure–start the year with a victory and a kept promise!
- Start small and build up.
This step works hand and hand with step one. Make a realistic goal by starting small and working your way up. For example, if a 40-Day plan seems too intimidating, start off with a 10-Day Transformation. Then make a new commitment before your 10 days are up, so you continue to build. Watch your progress grow!
- Make a plan.
When you make a goal, don’t keep it in your head. Draft it out! Visualize what your goals might be and how you plan to accomplish them. Make things easier by listing out steps to get you to your goal. It will feel pretty cool to keep checking boxes off as you go. Plus, you will be able to see how much you’ve progressed and what is still left to do.
Our programs are designed to help you do just that because they are tailored to your needs. Whether you’re looking for weight loss, cleansing or athletic fitness, there’s a program for you. From daily core programs and 10-Day plans to the Ultimate 40-Day programs, there’s a plan for every skill and interest level. Fuel your body with superfoods that can help break addictions to harmful foods, help burn fat, build muscle and help cleanse your body of toxins. These programs are to help you keep your fitness and health goals on track, and TRANSFORM those goals into a healthier lifestyle.
- Keep it private.
Remember that these are YOUR goals. This is about you: self love, self discipline and independence. Look inside for inspiration and do not feel like you need to tell everyone and anyone (you can if you want, though).
- Stick with it.
With each step, you get closer and closer to your goal. Consistency is key. If you make a mistake, that’s okay. Don’t abandon your resolution, just move on and do better. Don’t look back, look forward!
