Here at Purium one of the most common questions we get is, “Can my kids use our products too?” The answer: YES!

Of course, special considerations need to be made for our little ones!

So, we’re breaking down what you need to know to ensure optimal nutrition for your little loved ones.

A Healthy Start: Special Considerations

Starting your child on a nutrient-dense, superfood, and organic diet from the beginning will make them more likely to enjoy good nutrition. Children have high nutrition needs but small stomachs comparatively, so nutrient-density is key to support healthy growth. Additionally, kids are fantastic at determining what their body needs when they are superfood-fed from the start.

With a healthy start,  kids are also fantastic at determining what their body needs. Small servings of versatile foods is an excellent way to meet their nutritional needs daily. Trust your child when they say they are still hungry but don’t want anymore of what is in front of them. They are listening to their body telling them that they require more/different nutrients.

As a company we cannot legally guide you on taking supplements for children under age 2. Ask your health care provider if and what supplements are right for your child. We list all of our ingredients on the product labels so you can share with your trusted health care provider.

Typically, our food products can generally be given to children. The serving size on our products is based on an adult of roughly 100 pounds. All you have to do is adjust for the size of the child to determine a serving size for them.

FAMILY NUTRITION PACK

The Family Nutrition Pack was specifically designed to offer every member of the family healthy vegan protein, fruits, vegetables/greens, gut health support, immune support, and sleep support. This pack is a no-brainer for a family looking for a way to integrate superfoods into their lives.

ULTIMATE LIFESTYLE TRANSFORMATION

Products featured in The Ultimate Lifestyle Transformation can also be shared with kids. Adjust the serving sizes appropriately. As a general rule of thumb, the Super Amino 23 can be broken in half or crushed for children—one tablet per day, per year of age (up to age 10). The Super CleansR can be harsh for children and would not typically be recommended unless a diagnosis of parasites has been confirmed. In that case, consult with your health care provider to determine the serving.

Reminder: We are not medical experts. We recommend to consult with your medical practitioner regarding your child’s specific journey.

 JUICE BAR IN A BAG

Another popular product pack for children is the Juice Bar in a Bag. One product, the Can’t Beet This! contains some caffeine and Maca in it. Maca can affect hormones and is not something recommended for young children. Maca can also be found in the MVP Sport protein shakes. Those products can be supportive for teenagers but not typically for young children.

REFINING & FINE-TUNING SUPPLEMENTS

When it comes to supplements, capsules can be opened and added to food if a child (or even adult) has difficulty swallowing them. Spirulina, Cracked Cell Chlorella, C From Nature, Biome Medic, and Super Xanthin are supportive for all ages.

When considering other Purium supplements, please consult with both your health care provider and Purium Brand Partner.
