During this season of holiday shopping, often times you may forget about giving back to the community. Here at Purium, giving back is a HUGE part of our mission. In fact, Purium has given over $200K in donations in 2020!

Purium was founded on the concept of giving back to the community. In honor of Giving Tuesday, read below to discover the non-profit organizations that we empowered this year through donation, sponsorship, and advocacy.

Million Mom Movement

Founded by Purium Co-owner, Amy Venner, the Million Mom Movement (MMM) is committed to spreading health, well-being, and economic opportunity around organic, superfood nutrition. With a strong focus on educating families about GMO’s and healthy eating, MMM began sponsoring women in 2020 as ‘Health Warriors’ to support their families nutritionally and financially.

Purium awards $10,000 worth of scholarships each month to provide superfood nutrition for moms and their families, based upon their individual needs. The monthly sponsorship benefits four families per month. Each family is given the opportunity to afford higher-quality nutrition by building a home-based business income stream.

Under the leadership of Purium co-owner Amy Venner, we’ve updated our business scholarship to a 3 month time period. Each recipient will receive a $199 Business Launch Pack with a bonus of $1250 of Purium superfoods over a 3 month period. This is such an amazing opportunity for us to help more people change their lives through healthy living and providing the path they need to financial freedom.

Each scholarship applicant will need the support of a mentor and Diamond upline. Part of the scholarship application process will now be a 3-way call with the applicant, their sponsor and Diamond mentor before they submit their application. We support and believe that all of our recipients should start their Purium journey with business success in mind!

Please note that current Brand Partners are not eligible for the scholarship.

 The A.W.A.K.E.N. Project

Also adding to Purium’s 2020 donations are our monthly pledges supporting the A.W.A.K.E.N. Project. Created to enhance the lives of Autistic children and families through encouragement, education, and nourishment, the A.W.A.K.E.N. Project hosts transformation retreats for families touched by autism.

This year, Purium helped to sponsor families to attend immersive retreats, which strive to create an energy of healing and renewal within each family member. The A.W.A.K.E.N. Project’s compassionate staff of qualified caregivers and therapists make it a priority to ensure the entire family experiences some of the most promising, compelling, and potentially life-changing therapies and treatments offered.

By providing a nurturing environment for healing, serenity, and workshops, the organization promotes closer bonds among family members and ultimately creates a stronger family connection. Visit their website to schedule a retreat or donate!

 FoodCycle LA

Purium Co-Owner Amy Venner and Purium staff help with donations to FoodCycle LA

FoodCycle LA is another non-profit organization that Purium has passionately donated to in 2020. For almost 15 years, FoodCycleLA has recovered food that would otherwise be thrown away by grocery stores, restaurants, offices, and farmers markets and delivered it to organizations that feed the hungry.

As a community-powered operation, FoodCycle LA works to combat climate change, create systemic reform, and ensure that food feeds communities rather than filling up landfills. This includes feeding the homeless and helping people in need.

Purium donated a variety of sustainable food products to FoodCycle LA this year, including dried sweet potato flour, quinoa flour, oat four, chlorella, and Power Shakes. You can be a part of the solution too; visit Food Cycle LA’s website to learn more about food recovery or to donate.
