Welcome back to another Zoom recap! This week, we’re recapping another installment of our “Head to Toe” product support series.

Many people believe Purium is a “weight loss” company, but we are much more than that: we are a Transformation company! This “Head to Toe” series outlines how Purium products extend far beyond just weight loss, fine-tuning your health.

Last month, our focus was heart health (click here to read recap). This month, Purium Owners Amy Venner & Dave Sandoval focused on eye health. Read our quick recap or click the Zoom replay below.

Zoom Recap: Eye Health

Lots of people take eye health for granted. Yet eye health can be a sign of a good overall health. With the increase in amount of screen-time we consume per day (think about your phone, your computer or TV), our eyes can become fatigued. So, it’s important to make your vision a priority.

One great way to support your peepers is to eat an antioxidant-rich diet. Foods rich in carotenoids and beta-carotenoids can do wonders for your oxidative health. Carotenoids are pigments that give some of your favorite plants their vibrant colors.

These color pigments can help lessen the oxidative stress in your body that leads to free radicals. Oxidative stress and free radicals can contribute to major health concerns, potentially affecting your eyesight.

What’s more, inflammation can contribute to vision loss.

Other Risk Factors

Dave spotlighted these eye issues:

  • Diabetes can potentially lead to vision impairment.
  • The fluid in your eyes is called “humorous fluid.” But believe us, if there is an issue with the flow of the is fluid, there is nothing funny about the complications. Vision loss is a possible result.
  • Cataracts, glaucoma and macular degeneration  can all lead to vision loss or possible blindness.

Super Xanthin

Because antioxidants can be so great for eye health, our Founders recommend Super Xanthin for overall support. Super Xanthin contains a powerful antioxidant called astaxanthin. Astaxanthin is a carotenoid that gives salmon and crabs their reddish color.

In addition to protecting the body from oxidative stress, the ingredients in Super Xanthin may support protection from harmful UVA and UVB rays from the sun.

Super Xanthin also contains spirulina, also known as mother nature’s multi-vitamin. It is packed with eye-supporting vitamins, like E and C. Dave suggests adding spirulina capsules or powders to your routine if you would like even more support.
