Exercises To Do With Your Kids

Sometimes it’s hard to find the time or energy to workout, especially when you have kids. However, taking care of yourself is just as important as taking care of the sweet little human being you created. Plus, the more active you are, the more energy you feel! Here are some fun ways to get you and your tiny crew moving together.

Put on some music and DANCE!

Who doesn’t love a good dance party? Whether it’s while you’re making breakfast, after school or before bath time, shaking it out relieves stress, makes you laugh and circulates the blood. You can even do it in your pajamas!

Workout at home.

Circuit training is an easy thing anywhere and kids love a good competition. How many crunches can everyone do in 30 seconds? Who can do the most pushups without stopping? Kids are also excellent weight replacements (just be careful) – put a toddler on your back while you do some squats.

Go on a family bike ride.

Pull the bikes and cruise the neighborhood. This is a great way to breathe fresh air, bond as a family and up your heart rate.

Go for a swim.

Swimming is a great activity! Whether at home, a neighbor’s or a community pool, swimming is both a workout and recovery support for muscles – it’s also fun!

Run around at the playground.

Release your inner child! Can you do the monkey bars? If that’s too easy, how many pull-ups can you do in 30-seconds? Play tag or push your kid on the swings using your core muscles!

There are lots of ways to incorporate fitness into your life – get creative and use your kids as inspiration!
