Cooking with Mother Nature’s Multi-Vitamin

Written by: Purium

There’s a reason Spirulina has been nicknamed “Mother Nature’s multi-vitamin.” A blue-algae organism found in fresh and salt water, Spirulina has provided ancient cultures from the Aztecs to early Africans the minerals and vitamins they needed to climb mountains, work the land and power through to survive.

Though life may not be as extreme anymore, this green powder supplement can be instrumental in keeping energy high, feeling full for longer periods of time, promoting a healthy heart and boosting the immune system.

One Tablespoon of Organic Spirulina™ gives you 6.5 grams of protein plus:

  • Vitamin A (Beta-Carotene)
  • Iron
  • Thiamin
  • Riboflavin
  • Niacin
  • Vitamin B6
  • Vitamin B-12
  • Vitamin B5
  • Phosphorus
  • Iodine
  • Potassium
  • Magnesium
  • Manganese
  • Chomium

While it’s common to add this powder to your favorite shake, it’s equally as simple to sprinkle some into snacks, meals and even desserts! Here are a few Purium-approved recipes that are perfect for summer vibes.
