As a child around Christmas time, I always remember baking cookies with my mom for Santa Claus. We would laugh, eat bits of the dough, and make cute Christmas-y shapes so that Santa would be fueled for his trip after leaving my house. What I didn’t think of as a kid was that these sugary typical cookies (while cheap to make, delicious, and colorful) weren’t actually giving Mr. Claus the nutrition and fuel he needed to go around the whole world giving out presents that night! So, without taking out the deliciousness and fun, we can still make Santa cookies for his busy night that will give him the boost of energy and protein that he needs.
These Purium Energy Bites are no-bake and best served with a tall glass of organic almond or coconut milk! You can also leave some organic carrots for the reindeers! They need energy too! Here’s the recipe:
Mix all ingredients together until good consistency to roll into a ball or you can even use a cookie cutter to make fun shapes. Put on a plate and into the refrigerator. After they have hardened, they are ready to be served! Santa will sure L.O.V. these! 😉
